I have thoughts about many things. The things I have thoughts about sometimes escape my teeny tiny little brain, and so I needed a place where I could put them on the internet for everyone to see and criticize. From there, I designed a hackish website with images stolen from the so-called public domain and a name ripped from a likable but ultimately annoying song from the Lion King. Perhaps that is the general thrust of this whole enterprise. Let’s now try to add some images or something.

THAT, my friends, is a picture of some mineral deposits from the Smithsonian! Just some of the scintillating content you can expect on this here website. WordPress took quite a while to upload that shit, but then again I only traffic in high resolution material. Let me see if I can slip some other nice little things into this bad Larry…
“Families are always rising and falling in America”
Nathan-for-you Hawthorne said it, but I really just got it from The Departed
The block options are honestly pretty extensive, but I’m not sure I really need more than text or images. My main worry is the apparent inability to add footnotes. I have built an entire academic career on the back of steezy-looking footnotes. Footnotes allow us to use gorgeous Chicago full-note citations that show you exactly where you can find something, and they also provide the opportunity to provide extensive qualifications of whatever text they’re attached to to make the original statement largely meaningless. What I’m trying to say is I need them.Footnote
Well what I did there was I did a little superscript action, and then maybe I can just…put some text at the bottom of the article with the superscript to make it ~look~ like a bona-feeday footnote.
FootnoteSee? This isn’t so bad, but I wish it was a little more like Microsoft Word.
Okay so now I’m going to post this and see what it looks like.
